Training Description:
Judges and court leaders regularly work with county officials, legislators, funding bodies, and other stakeholders on matters affecting court operations and resources. This training explores how separation of powers and inherent judicial authority apply to those relationships.
Using Nevada law and practical examples, faculty discuss strategies for communicating court needs, building relationships before disagreements arise, and explaining the courts’ role in the community. The training also addresses when it may be appropriate to assert judicial authority and how to maintain productive working relationships when disagreements occur.
