Training Description/Objectives: Please join our faculty as they discuss interacting with victims of crime as they enter our courts. After this course, you will be able to:
1. Recognize the common reactions, expressions and issues experienced by victims of crimes;
2. Discuss Nevada Revised Statutes related to crime victimization;
3. Identify local and state resources available to injured parties and others indirectly impacted; and
4. Display increased sensitivity to the unique needs of participants who may feel traumatized or wrong.

This course is designed for all judicial officers, quasi-judicial officers, and court staff. Note: Meets NDJ Core Competency "Judicial Office" (JO).

Continuing Education Credit: 1.0 CLE/CJE (Certificate of Attendance required to receive continuing legal/judicial education credit). NOTE: CLE credit for this course is approved through March 9, 2024 and will then be stale dated.
