Training courses for new Nevada Trial Court employees

This training covers the key differences between providing legal information and legal advice for Nevada court staff, ensuring ethical compliance and impartiality. We’ll also review Supreme Court of Nevada Rule 44, guiding support for self-represented litigants while staying within professional boundaries.

This course focuses on communication skills for everyday work in Nevada’s courts. It highlights ways to support professional, effective interactions in fast-paced environments, including situations that may be high-pressure or emotionally charged. Learners are encouraged to move through the course at their own pace and can return to it as time allows.

Nevada's court system is complex, and very few people engage with it until they have to. When you know the system well enough to explain it clearly and neutrally, you reduce confusion and make it more accessible to the people it is there to serve. This course provides foundational knowledge, and it applies to all court roles.
